Article

This article talks about how the media portrays how people are supposed to look in order to be beautiful. The media usually makes blondes look as if they are the only kind of people who are appealing to the public. The article also refers to the movie KING KONG and how Kong falls in love with another blonde (Naomi Watts). I feel that this is stereotyping in a few ways, but it's not that serious.
Beauty is, honestly, a person with a positve attitude towards the world that they live in. Yes, they may or may not look good on the outside. But it doesn't really matter what's on the outside. It's what's in the inside that counts.

blonde is beautiful mystique

You're right. The article is definitely understandable as far as King Kong being stereotypical. The beautiful blonde tames the beast. I guess that story is a little old and tired, and can even be disappointing to those who don't fit that "mold." However, I guess that was the point of the story: a big beast falls in love with his complete opposite, and meanwhile she shows compassion for him, which originally seemed unlikely. Still, I think that the story would have been equally as touching if she was a brunette, without a flawless physique.
Nonetheless, as you said, beauty is truly within oneself. Without her compassion for Kong, I doubt her character would have been as likeable. But, i believe that the media should further illustrate beauty as being based on how people act or treat others; there shouldn't be such narrow and high expectations for people within our society.

i think the media is wrong with only blonde is beautiful mystique, but i like ur view on what beauty is, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. many people are found beautiful even not being blonde. i believe in King Kong is it just love and love has no face

I agree, the media IS wrong about the "blonde is beautiful" mystique. Not everyone has to be blonde and be considered beautiful. You should be considered beautiful whether you are blonde, brunette, redhead, etc. More than half of the media doesn't realize what the hell they're talking about when it comes to ANY subject. Culturally, people here in the USA usually consider blonde, physically fit girls as attractive. But the media should consider that Samoans (Hawaiians) and other countries consider girls of other physical attributes appealing,so not everyone has the same interests.

That's true, KING KONG probably would have been as touching if Naomi Watts had been a brunette. But still, I believe that beauty should be measured by a person's character, not by how they look. I mean, have you ever seen Buffy the Vampire Slayer? ( I don't watch that show,I'm just trying to prove a point.) The redhead from that show, who is supposedly Buffy's sidekick, has also starred in American Wedding and the TV series How I met Your Mother. She isn't usually perceived as one of the more better looking women in Hollywood, but her character should portray her as one of those people.
